Sabrcare — Simplifying Cancer Care

A familiar face on the hardest days in hospital

Spending time in hospital can feel overwhelming. Our patient navigators at Goa Medical College help families with hospital visits, treatment and the emotional weight that comes with them — for children, teenagers and young adults.

Someone to sit with you, listen without judgment, and connect you with counselling and other families.

Financial support

Help with medicines and tests, and with applying for schemes like Ayushman Bharat and DDSSY.

Informational support

Simple explanations of the diagnosis and treatment plan in your language, and questions to take to the doctor.

Nutritional support

Advice and support so patients can eat well and stay as strong as possible during treatment.

Living support

Travel to treatment, help for the family at home, and small joys on the ward — celebrations, festivals and play.

What to expect during a hospital stay

You’ll get to know daily routines like meal times, visiting hours and rest periods, and the caring team of doctors, nurses and specialists. You may hear about common procedures such as blood tests, scans or medicine through an IV. Knowing what to expect can make it less stressful.

  • Keep reports, prescriptions and contact numbers in one place
  • Write questions down before ward rounds
  • Plan who can help with meals, childcare and transport
